Description: This is a rare broadside (single page playbill) from the Pre-Broadway tryout of the MAE WEST comedy "DIAMOND LIL" at the Forrest Theatre in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. (The revival would open February 5th, 1949 at the Coronet Theatre in New York City, but suspend performances February 26th, 1949 when Miss West broke her ankle. The show would reopen September 7th, 1949 at the Plymouth Theatre and run for 182 performances before going on tour. Following the tour and a summer hiatus, the production returned to New York's Broadway Theatre on September 14th, 1951 for an additional 67 performances.) .....
