Description: Magic Lantern Slide A QUARTET C1890 PHOTO EDGAR SCAMELL LONDON BUSKERS MUSICIANS THE SLIDE IS APPROXIMATELY 8.2CM X 8.2CM OR IN INCHES 3.23" X 3.23" An incredibly rare image of London life by Edgar Scamell of Finchley. Scamell took a number of photos of street life in London in the 1890's and contributed on a voluntary basis a number of his photographs to the " National photographic record and survey " which is now held in the V&A museum, to my knowledge they do not hold this image. One of Scamell's photos of a street hawker selling jacket potatoes was considered one of the top 40 best photos of London ever taken by Time Out Magazine in 2018. I would consider this a far more iconic image of London than the potatoe seller. ← ← ←← ← OUR SHOP HAS OVER 20000 PHOTOGRAPHIC SLIDES IN IT - PLEASE VIEW FOR SIMILAR IMAGES← ← ← REF L332 CAB38 S2 *** INTERNATIONAL BUYERS PLEASE SEE MY SHOP FRONT FOR DISCOUNTED COMBINED POSTAGE RATES *****
