We have used favorite elements from vintage doll clothing to create an all-new pattern. The bubble sleeve on the dress was inspired by an antique cotton dress on one of our vintage dolls. The simple panties pattern was inspired by antique cotton doll panties. We have been using this pattern for years, and now we're sharing it with you!Our MAGIC-10 pattern is perfect for vintage and antique dolls because of it's simplicity, which was typical of vintage styles. It's also perfect as a basic starter pattern for modern fashions and fabrics. In fact, you can do just about anything you want with the MAGIC-10, with minor adjustments. We added pintucks to the dress that First Love is wearing (our instruction page tells you how we did that.) INCLUDES DRESS PATTERN in 10 SIZES: Dress with full skirt. Bodice may be long-waisted (for pre-teen dolls) or short-waisted for our infant babydolls. To determine which dress pattern you need to use, just measure the chest of the doll and select the size that corresponds to the chest measurement. Elastic tends to stretch out, so we highly recommend using this bubble sleeve pattern on doll dresses instead of a puffed sleeve that needs elastic. INCLUDES PANTIES PATTERN in 10 SIZES: this simple one piece panty pattern has lace around the legs and elastic around the waist. These panties are a smooth fit on our dolls, and are extremely easy to make. Works with woven fabrics or knits.
