Description: MAGNETIC OINTMENT 1880s BUFFALO, N.Y.. A. TRASK’S Magnetic Ointment was made by David Ransom & Son in Buffalo, New York. This was a remedy for pain, nervous headache, inflammation of the bowels, burns & fever sores. The embossing is rather light and appears on 3 sides with the backside for a label. It stands at 2 1/2 inches tall and 1 1/4 inches wide at the base. It is light aqua with beveled corners. A little iridescence is seen and a few bubbles. The side that shows the word “ointment” bears a scar and it was poured this way in the mold and also has what looks to be a burst bubble in the glass. Nicely applied lip and a little haze from age. Outside of what is mentioned, there are no cracks or chips etc. Just a nice small attractive bottle with a very unique name.
