Description: Malibu Pottery, Malibu, CA 1926-1932 Here is a keystone mantel tile - made by the famous Malibu Potteries, it's heavy and chunky with a simple shield for decoration. There are deep smooth ridges carved into the clay and the matte glazing is a mixture of brown, blue and green with a great alligator-like texture. This was designed to be the center tile in a fireplace surround. In very good condition; very minor wear. Measures 4" long x 4" tall x 2" deep. We also have a larger one listed separately.
