Using it makes it possible to mount a compact flash unit directly above the center of the lens for direct lighting of the subject and it is complete with a shoe for the SCA 396 adapter and allows simple connections that do not interfere with normal camera operations. Or mount ANY OTHER BRANDS flashes or flash triggers on top while it doubles as a great hand grip as well!!!
