The Receiver is very clean all around, very heavy and powers on when plugged in. Plugged into a TV starts the setup process, but you will need the original remote to select through menus. There is an app, but the TV and receiver must need to be set up on a network first for it to work, still needing the original remote at least once. Otherwise, when powered on all of the buttons, work and know switch through embedded menus and volume perfectly. The only problem with it i see but most likely won't pose a problem is one of the wifi antennas does come loose from its holder that it uses to swing up and down on but I can be clicked back in place the grooves that hold it in must be worn. However, since we don't have the original remote to fully test this, we can not completely say nor confirm that it works and for that its being sold as is but there's nothing about it's condition that would make us believe it wouldn't work.
