Description: "Clariere au Soleil Rouge" This is an unframed, signed and numbered, Marcel Mouly lithograph on paper, entitled "Clariere au Soleil Rouge." The art is hand signed by Mouly, and it is from the EA European artist's proof edition. This piece is thus annotated Epreuve d'Artiste on the lower left of the art. Marcel Mouly (1918 - 2008) was born in Paris. His career of painting was influenced greatly by Picasso, Matisse and Braque. His work has been collected all over the world, and exhibited in prestigious venues around the globe. His art has been included in the permanent collections of more than twenty museums. He was at his death, the last living protege of the great Picasso. The print is in very good condition! It has never been framed. There are a few small foxing marks on the margins of this piece as well as a small handling fold. All are well off of the image area and hidden when the art is matted/framed. Like most Mouly art works, this piece has beautiful colors. It is a darker image with predominant colors of red, blue and green. It creates a dramatic feel for the landscape scene of a clearing in the red sun. The dimensions of the print are 31 1/2" X 25 1/2." The image is 28" X 22 1/2."
