Description: Up for sale is an 1872 copy of Mark Twain's Roughing It published by the American Publishing company. Like most copies of this book, covers are in rough looking condition, but obviously some triage work has been done in the past to at least preserve it in this state. Despite it's appearance, this copy is still in one piece and stayed in one piece during my scoping out the printing notes below, which indicate it is a later printing of the first edition, most notable as it says "Seventy-Fifth Thousand" on the title page. p. 242 Missing both I and myp. xi.1 "M" is not perfectp. 19.1 "Y" is not perfectp. 123 says "death." not "death!"p. 156: Thirteenth has NOT been corrected to sixteenth. p. 330 says "Eastern" not "eastern"Has 4 completely blank leaves on both sides of end-paperhas several pages of advertisements in the back THE FOLLOWING IS BOILERPLATE LANGUAGE INCLUDED IN ALL OF MY BOOK LISTINGS. Book may have mild "old book smell" and shelf/storage wear difficult to see in photos. There may be some pencil marks/underlining on inside pages, but I do quickly scan early pages and will note if I find anything.
