Well it's appears to be a denim shirt that has been modified and the sleeves stitched with some floral fabric. I can't feel any heavy seams under the material so I can only assume the sleeves have been given the snip or unpicked. What does that have to do with a heavy metal staple of a patch covered vest? If you aren't of the persuasion to wear it as is or maybe change out the flowery tones for something equally ornate, perhaps I could remind you that removing said homespun decoration, fraying the sleeves slightly and adding some patches could turn it into a lightweight, thin and so easy to sew, gig going garment. The fabric is, after all, a small sized fitted shirt rather than a jacket and could easily be modified to make it an absolute slayer. Equally I can see how this could look amazing as part of a cottagey collection of clothes especially if you are much handier than I with a needle and thread and it would look spectacular with some embroidery on the back. I'd be interested to see how this one ends up! The colour is a very definite denim blue and is slightly less vibrant than the tone you see in the full length front photo.
