Description: A Nice original condition Martin Handcraft Alto Saxophone in silk gold finish with burnished gold engraving and keywork on offer. A late production original Handcraft, this horn has a front F key for easier altissimo. The horn plays ok on original rivet pads but will need a full repad/regulation to play well. The horn was disassembled and lightly polished and the hinge rods, keys (internally) screws & posts were cleaned & oiled to allow for decent action. Practically no plating wear through the body but there are couple dings as shown in photos. The neck (also in excellent original condition) and body have matching 91XXX serial numbers indicating 1928-1929 production. The original case is in good function and physical condition and even the original gold plated mouthpiece cover and ligature are present. Unfortunately, a silver plated body cap that doesn't fit the horn perfectly is present as well.
