It was sung in a chapel adorned with beautiful stained glass windows chronicling the days of creation. It was in that chapel that I, as a member of the Cantor's Club, first learned to sing before a gathering of worshipers. Upon becoming a believer in Yeshua, Jesus, I found myself singing in new covenant congregations, and I've grown to love the hymns of the church as I did the chants of the synagogue. Years ago, while visiting my parents at my childhood home in Cleveland Ohio I sat at the piano in the living room and began to play. My dad, sitting on the sofa, commented, "I know that. ABIDE WITH ME." I marveled that my Jewish father was familiar with the song. He's gone now; but I'll always have a special place in my heart for that hymn. It is one in a collection of inspirational favorites included in 'LEAD ME HOME'. My wife, Jennifer, and I want to thank our producer Rick Elias (from Rich Mullins and The Ragamuffin Band), without whose encouragement and artistry this recording would not have come to fruition. We dedicate 'LEAD ME HOME' to our dear friend Tom Howard who lovingly and exquisitely arranged our music for over 20 years. He left this earth in 2010 and we miss him still.
