Description: Vintage Marx Vintage Original - "Knights and Vikings Play Set" - mid-1960s - Replacement Figures. 54mm scale - unpainted plastic figures. Lot of 21 figures includes 13 Green Vikings (many different poses) and 8 Silver Knights (also different poses). All are in excellent condition and trade marked on the bottom "Louis Marx & Co. Inc. MCMLXV" (1965). The Louis Marx Company was founded in 1919 in New York City as a maker of children’s games, tin wind up toys, dolls and more. In the 1960s to 1970s Marx produced hard plastic, vinyl dolls and action figures. Quaker Oats bought Marx in 1972 and it ceased operating in 1979.
