To cap it again, simply repeat the step, but this time, you wont need to squeeze out as much caulk/silicone. Now, what if you are done with the tube? Let the inside of the cap dry. Once its dry, pop off the cap on the main cap and push it down with a screw driver. The dried caulk/silicone will slide out. The caulk or silicone will not stick to the inside of the cap.
