Description: I found this book in a dilapidated old farmhouse in a ghost town in NV. I'm amazed it is in one piece. It's very rare. That said, it has finger prints on the pages and 'Maxine' wrote her name inside the cover pages along with little doodles. These are mostly in pencil. The edges of the cover are frayed and the corners tattered. Something was spilled on the back cover but did not leak through to the inside. The middle pages of the book are untouched for the most part. There are no creases or folding. See photos. I photographed the front cover pages and the back cover pages where the marks are. New York: Frederick A. Stokes Company, 1899. First edition.
