Description: Mauviel Cuprinox’Style 3.3-Quart Sauce Pan with Lid Made in France This rare, vintage Mauviel 3.3-quart sauce pan with lid is from the Cuprinox Style (also spelled Cuprinox’Style) collection circa 2000. What makes this French copper cookware unique is the combination of features. The Cuprinox line, which is now called M’Héritage, features Mauviel’s 18/10 bi-laminated metal combination (90% copper exterior and 10% stainless steel interior). With a thickness of 2 millimeters (2mm), Cuprinox Style offered a choice of cast iron or stainless steel handles. This pan and lid have the bright stainless steel handles that Mauviel now only offers on their lightweight 1.5 mm cookware. Another special feature is the elegant curved pouring lip, which has been replaced with sharp edges in the current M’Héritage models. This mint condition Mauviel sauce pan with lid (casserole avec couvercle) has never been used and the copper has a lovely patina. Mauviel 1830 recommends their new 2 mm copper and stainless steel models (called M’Héritage 200) for professional use, and this is serious cookware: the pan and lid weigh 5 pounds, 6 ounces (2.45 kg). But whether you’re a chef or home cook, you’ll appreciate the beauty and functionality of Mauviel Cuprinox’Style. The equivalent of this pan is the Mauviel M’Heritage 200 3.3-Quart Sauce Pan with Lid (brass or cast iron handles), which retails for $600. Diameter of the sauce pan base is 8 inches (20 cm), the curved lip top of the pan is 8 3/8 inches (21.5 cm). Height is 4 1/2 inches (11.5 cm), and the handle extends 9 inches (23 cm) from the pan. The lid has a diameter of 8 3/8 inches (21.5 cm). This pan and lid have never been used and the stainless steel interior is pristine. Please see the photos for any exterior imperfections.
