Original Black & White Illustrations, pages 164 & 203 in matching period frames from the 1902 First Edition of Kenneth Grahame’s “Dream Days” illustrated by Parrish. (Copyright 1898 by John Lane) Note: The Dragon image measures 5 3/4”x 4”, the tailpiece image measures 3 1/4”x 3”. Outermost frames dimensions measure 9”x 6 3/4” & 5 1/8”x 4 7/8” respectively. Both are backed with 2-ply acid-free cotton rag board, new dustcover, hardware and bump-ons, August, 2024 and ready to hang (or displayed on a tabletop plate stand or small easel (last photo #22, for illustration purposes only), the easel ‘NOT” included. Parrish’s MP signature bottom right corner (photo #6). It was never issued as a period print; it's only other appearances were a black & white illustration in the June, 1903 issue of 'Art Journal' and (in color) in the December, 1910 issue of 'Illustrated London News'. Note: The first 13 photos are taken without glass to avoid reflection/glare issues, photos 15 & 16( without & with flash), 17 & 18 after completion of project. Also Note: photos 19, 20 & 21, the book itself, and tissue lining are shown for provenance only. The book is ‘Not’ included, the tissue lining ‘Will’ be included. Quite a unique set.
