Maxpro 1980s Football Helmet Oakland Los Angeles Raiders Clear Shell Rare

Description: For your consideration is this very rare Maxpro football helmet, outfitted with rare RIDDell OPO facemask for the era. Iconic Raiders shield decals and striping are vintage and under the shell, and applied by the manufacturer at creation of this amazing specimen! These helmet shells were completely clear with decals and striping applied to the inside of the shell, and then the team’s color of paint was applied to the inside of the shell as well. This technique allowed teams to have much less maintenance as the equipment managers would not need to replace decals or striping or touch up paint between games. Player’s numbers would be applied to the outside of the shell. Padding was then put into place using Velcro. Very rare Helmet also has complete set of rare MaxPro padding with recertification date tag evident from 1989, and comes with all you see, including rare Riddell OPO facemask as used by many NFL skill players during this era. Helmet is a small to medium in size. Let us know if you want a different mask and we can advise any cost adjustments at that time. This helmet shows very attractive heavy use too!
