Description: This is a May 1968 Marvel Comics Amazing Spider-Man #60 in Very Fine (VF) Condition Noticeable Defects: some minor color loss on the front cover, light staple wear top staple, some very light Marvel edging, tanning back cover and pages Brainwashing was the hot storyline of 1968 and Captain Stacy is the intended victim of the Kingpin's evil plans for reasons left unexplained this issue anyway. I guess he steals some police documents so he's got some access somewhere. Peter Parker knows what happened and takes a beating from Captain Stacy for his troubles, which Gwen misinterprets, of course, and Peter's best course of action here would be to never think about her again though it's really a problem that solves itself in a few issues. The kingpin finds out about Peter's involvement and sends a stern message by destroying Peter and Harry Osborne's apartment. While the Goblin family chooses to ignore this affront Spidey doesn't, photographing Captain Stacy stealing from the police and turning the photos over to the Daily Bugle in an attempt to shed light on the Kingpin and his machinations as well as Captain Stacy and his being brainwashed. It's also kind of a dig at Gwen, who reads the paper the next day and is a little surprised to find out her dad is a criminal at best and a dupe at worst. How do you think this effects Peter's relationship with Gwen? Tune in next issue to find out since this one ends. The Amazing Spider-Man #60 grades in Very Fine (VF) Condition with the Noticeable Defects being some minor color loss on the front cover, some slight edge wear, light top staple wear and some tanning of the pages. The colors are very vibrant and the issue displays very nicely. This would make a superior reading copy and a very beautiful showcase issue in anyone's collection. It loos so goo that in my initial notes I wrote "colors pop. Very nice" and that was just a casual scan. If you're in the market for this book, please do yourself a favor and take a look for yourself. A Note About Comics: Though we have many years of comic book experience, we are not professional graders and comic book grading is a very subjective thing. Professional outfits like CGC state that if you were to submit the same book multiple times for grading it would not necessarily receive the same grade because everyone sees something different. That being said, we've attempted to err on the side of caution. Our grades, in the majority of cases, are at least a half grade lower than what we feel they actually are to make sure anyone who orders from us is happy with their purchase. The grades were determined using Overstreet's comic book grading guide as well as the Ebay comic book grading guide. The prices were determined using the Online Comic Price Guide and Comic Book Realm's excellent price guide to reflect the entire range of pricing differences.
