Description: There is limited information about McKaig-Hatch Inc. The company started business in 19134 in Buffalo, NY. By 1970s the company had disappeared. In between they’d been a quality supplier of fine forged steel tools that were mostly sold by industrial distributors. In the 1954 Catalog available on Archive.org (https://archive.org/details/mc-kaig-hatch-catalog/page/4/mode/2up?view=theater) the “McHaig-Htach name appears in a Raised Panel on Alloy Wrenches and in a Depressed Panel on Carbon-Steel Wrenches (see images). The earliest Wrenches were stamped or had a forged-in logo; a stylized “MH” in a circle. Our best guess is 1940s for time of production. The Wrench is in good condition and could be put to work. It shows minimal evidence of use and no obvious evidence of misuse or abuse. It’ll work properly for another half-century and more. It would take little effort to improve the Wrench’s appearance so that it would fit easily into a Show-and-Tell Collection. We will ship the Wrench by USPS Ground Advantage (formerly 1st Class Package) on the next regular business day following receipt of payment.
