Description: A heavily worn example of a late medieval earthenware floor tile. I believe this is likely mid 14th Century English, made in Penn, Buckinghamshire - based on the remnants of decoration visible. Part of a larger pattern of tiles. Thick, tactile floor tile. Rough dimensions: 11cm x 11cm >3cm thick Some chipping around the edges and corners. Areas of surface loss to the front. Missing corner. Other heavy wear and damage. Someone has drilled 2 little holes to the back presumably for display. Please make sure to check over the photos carefully.
