They are equipped with belt loops as well as suspender attachment points and cinchable draw cords at the waist so that you don't need a belt or suspenders to wear them. Can be worn alone, over regular trousers, or even over the entire APECS or ECW system, including the happy suit (High Loft Polartec trousers or ECW Layer 7). This is a truly versatile trouser that can be worn comfortably in the rain or extreme cold, by itself or as an outer shell over many layers of cold weather clothing (I know from experience).
