Description: Meissen Germany FULL GREEN VINE Cup, Saucer, Small Plate (Trio)Smooth, No Trim (c 1930s) This is quite a lovely little set: A Meissen (Germany) trio consisting of a cup and saucer with matching small plate. The pattern is called "Full Green Vine" on a smooth shape (not scalloped). The lovely design shows dark green grape leaves vining around the rim; the plate also has a green band around the rim. The design is shown on the replacements site under item 148492. The plate measures creamer measures about 6.75 inches high wide across the rim. The saucer is 5-5/8 inches across the rim. And the cup measure 3.25 inches wide across the rim, 2.5 inches high at the top of the rim, 3 inches at the top of the handle, and 2 inches across the foot ring. All three pieces are in excellent condition, with no signs of use or wear. There are no chips, cracks, or crazing. However, the crossed sword mark on the bottom of each piece has two parallel scratch marks ("wheel-cut lines), which indicate these pieces were deemed "II Choice" (second quality pieces). According to various online sites, this type of marking was used from 1852 through 1870. There are several other marks as well, including blue marks (or numbers), and the plate has impressed numbers that look like 1006 and 22.
