Description: The late Don Warning introduced the Memories of Santa Collection™ to the Christmas Industry in 1983 and produced 139 Santa ornaments. The delightful Santas in this collection were initially inspired by his own collection of antique chocolate molds. Later, he found inspiration from early chromolithographs, old post cards, antique trading cards, magazines, books, etc. The 1898 Santa (Hello Santa) was inspired by an illustration in Harper's Weekly from 1898 that depicted a little girl talking on the phone to Santa. In the illustration, the little girl says "Hello, Santa!" and Santa answers, "Hello, little one!" This vintage Christmas ornament is in good condition.
