Description: Meriden B Company Silverplate Footed Tea Pot 1877. The tea pot is in great condition with no plate loss or structural damage. Meriden B Co silverplate was unlike any other, using multiple different motifs and geometric designs. This piece has clovers embellishing the body and the use of lions sprinkled about on the handle, spout and legs. They also used the German cross as a finial. This piece was ahead of its time, with an art deco style but the patent was applied a good 50 years before the Art Deco movement. Measures 10" tall and 10" handle to spout.
