Description: Charming Picture! Mervin JULES (1912-1994) original woodcut. On the verso is an Associated American Artists label that lists this as “Signed Original Woodcut” and identifies the artist’s credentials. It is signed, titled and numbered in pencil by the artist. This original woodcut depicts a young man playing the cello and is typical of his portrayals of the world of music. The "Practice" is a fine, original example of the artwork created by the American artist, Mervin Jules. Measurements: Measures approximately, 18” x 14” in the Frame. Image is approximately 15 ½” x 11 ¾”.Condition: Good, consistent with age. There is light toning, rippling to paper - see photos Framed: Yes - Appears to be original frame (no matting). Would benefit from a new frame, but I opted to not remove it from its original frame. Recommend a new frame with acid-free mat to further preserve the woodcut.Provenance: Acquired at an Estate sale in Maryland. Normal 0 false false false EN-US ZH-TW X-NONE
