In very good to excellent condition.Mervin Markley was a native of Missouri. He had a studio in Decatur, Alabama for forty-five years and retired at the age of 80 years old. His paintings of ships and boats were inspired from his years served as a Merchant Marine as a seaman during WWII. He also lived in The Chesapeake Bay area of VIrginia. His paintings were done with water colors and a variety of acrylics. He developed a unique and handsome style of marine paintings. He exhibited in Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Virginia and Illinois. His paintings hang in private and corporate collections, in the United States and foreign countries.
