Description: Mettlach Villeroy & Boch Hires Root Beer Mug. Antique 1920's to 1930's / Lot of 2 The mugs are 5" tall by 3 3/4" wide. The bottoms are stamped Villeroy & Boch - Mettlach / Made in Germany . One mug is stamped with 2327 in the clay and 20 and 5 in ink. The other mug is stamped with an 8 in the clay and a 211 and 5 in ink. These mugs are in prime gift ready condition with no chips or cracks. One has minor coloring marks under the original glaze on the handle. The second mug has come minor coloring dots under the glaze on the plain side of the mug. The advertising graphic print on the front is bold and without fading. I see no crazing. See photos.
