Description: Offered for sale is a pair of brackets (Moss 406-140) that sit atop the rear wheel arch and are part of the seat-back adjusting assembly. Two chrome wing bolts (Moss 406-100) are included. As the photos show, the parts are a little pitted and the chrome is worn here and there. With a little polishing, they will be presentable, and with rechroming, like new. NOTE: These brackets are of the style used on MG TD cars, so, strictly speaking, that's what they are. The same brackets on MG TC cars are slightly different in shape, but they are otherwise equivalent. Except for the price, that is. The TC brackets (Moss 406-120, 130) sell for $120 each, while the TD style brackets(Moss 406-140) go for $35.00 each! The wing bolts are the same for TCs and TDs (Moss 406-100 for all cars). A pair of TD brackets and wing bolts sell for $79 + shipping. I have the TD-style brackets on my TC, and I don't notice any difference, except that they mount with 4 bolts instead of the TD retaining plate. That's why I've listed them as fitting TC and TD cars.
