Micaceous Clay Bean Pot by Felipe Ortega (signed), 1998, Incised Decorations

Description: Micaceous clay bean pot and lid by Apache medicine man Felipe Ortega (1952-2018). The pot has incised decorations around the side and is signed on the bottom "Felipe Jicarilla Apache La Madera NM". Also on the bottom in black lettering is "Aug. 1998". There is a small ding on the edge of the lid (see picture) that looks like it may have been there from the time the pot was made. The pot measures 6 1/2" height with the lid on, has an 8" diameter at the widest point, and a 6 1/2" top diameter.
