Description: Greetings, Here for your consideration is this new Michigan Wolverines old style Riddell RK "HUSKY" model. The husky model was 1/2" wider than the standard RK helmet. Note how the center ridge is 1 1/2 inches wide not the standard 1". These were made for the big boys. The RK Husky was made in the 1960's and early 70s. This particular helmet was styled to replicate what NFL hall of famer and University of Michigan All American Dan Dierdorf wore at Michigan in 1968-1970. This helmet was made by the football helmet experts at "Helmet Hut". The helmet was meticulously painted and color matched to the helmets of the era. The award stickers on the back were added by me to match what the players of the Bo Era wore. Also note the "Riddell Kra-Lite" PAINTED on the lower back of the helmet to replicate how Riddell marked their helmets. This helmet is a 100% Authentic reproduction of a late 60s Michigan football helmet. This helmet was a special order by me and could possibly be the only one in existence? A lot of time and effort went in to making this beautiful helmet. Think how great this would look displayed in a den or even living room. A great conversation piece for sure.
