Description: Micro Mosaic Early 20th Century Floral Geometric Design Pin 1910s Italy This incredibly beautiful micro mosaic pin is preowned and in good and acceptable condition. It is a pin that has been very loved in it's long lifetime. It is dated to around the 1910s to the 1920s. It features beautiful tesserae glass tiles placed in a floral and geometric design in an oval brass base. The metal appears to have had a gold tone washed coloring but much has worn away with use. The pin measures approximately 1 & 1/8" long x 13/16" wide. It is about 3/8" tall. There are no missing tiles. The pin closes with an old fashion C clasp and the pin and the hinge are in working order. Conditional issues are light surface scratching and wear and some spots on the brass, sides and back. There is some dark tarnish and/or verdigris in some areas on the front and back. This pin is a gorgeous work of art. It is a very elegant pin that easily dresses up any lapel or scarf, in addition to being highly collectible.
