Description: Incredible 170 year old cast iron foundry piece. Because the mounting holes are not open, I believe this to be the original casting that was then used to create a reverse mold for production. It could also have been a sample in the showroom. Either way, it's a beautiful object. Amazing ornate Victorian design with a sword wielding winged cherub about to slay a dragon. Great untouched surface patina. Heavy chunk of iron weighs over 5lbs. 12" wide. 10" tall. 5" deep.
