Nice antique mid 19th century bone china cake stand. Pierced cross medallion and relief molded leaves and swags border with turquoise enamel and gold highlights. Decorated with a central hand painted bouquet with pink roses and other flowers in white, purple, yellow, and orange. With additional flowers around the border and foot rim. Gold gilding along the edge. Unmarked except for the pattern number 7242 in red. Has some wear to the gilding, a gilded over in manufacture chip to the inside edge of the base and small flake to the edge of the base. Also, the base has been broken off below the knop at one time and glued back on and there is an associated hairline extending from the breakthrough the knop. Measures approximately 9 1/4 inches wide x 3 1/8 inches tall. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece. KW
