Description: Vintage Mid Century Rosenthal Studio Line Peynet Bird Ceramic Porcelain Ashtray. This modernist ashtray was designed by Raymond Peynet of Rosenthal between 1955 and 1965 and made for Lufthansa Airlines. The porcelain ashtray has an elongated form and measures approximately 8 1/4 inches across, 3 1/4 inches wide, and 1 1/2 inches high. It is white porcelain with an sweet image of a bird in a hanging blue basket with pink bow and green musical notes. Signed Peynet on the inside and marked Rosenthal Germany Studio Linie on the underside, the piece is in excellent condition.
