Description: For your consideration is a Minasbad, a sword from Bicol,Southern Luzon, Philippines. Blade has a typical form that widens towards the tip. The blade is in good condition and boast a spine of nearly half an inch. The hilt is carved out of Carabao horn with a brass ferrule. It has an iron knuckle guard with a clam shell shaped hand guard protruding to the right side. There is movement to the iron guard. The piece that locks the blade tang to the hilt is missing, it seems to have been gone for a while, judging from the patina. Blade and hilt are tight together. No scabbard.
