Description: This is a modular upper console insert for all 1992-2000 Lexus SC300 and SC400 models. It is designed to replace either the flat panel on older model SCs or the fold-out “butterfly” style cupholder on newer SCs. It presses right into place using thick tabs on the back without any hardware, and uses a simple sliding joint to accept either a 17MM diameter “ball” adapter to attach a phone mount to, or a larger full-body cupholder that holds drinks better. This part is designed from a 3D scan to ensure perfect fitment, printed in strong and UV-resistant ASA plastic, simple to install, and can be customized to your liking. *This listing is only for the 3D-printed main "body" of the insert and the ball mount adapter. It is a direct replacement for Lexus / Toyota part #55615-24020, which is either the flat placeholder panel (older model SCs) or fold-out “butterfly” style cupholder (newer model SCs). Appearance & Customization: All pieces for this upper console insert kit will be printed with black filament, resulting in the dark and slightly glossy finish shown in the pictures. The outer surface of the main insert “body” can be printed with any of the four surface finishes shown for no additional cost. Please see the pictures indicating the options for and location of your chosen surface finish. You can specify your desired surface pattern by leaving a note with your order; otherwise, the printed body will have a standard smooth finish. The main "body" can also be printed with a 17.5MM-diameter through hole to run an auxiliary or charging cable through. You can specify whether or not you would like a cable hole by leaving a note with your order; otherwise, the printed body will be solid (i.e. no through-hole). Once again, please note that this listing only includes the 3D-printed main "body" and 17MM-diameter ball mount adapter. This does not include the enlarged cupholder attachment, and you will have to supply your own phone mount. Fitment & Sizing: This part is designed to be a direct replacement for the OEM part without any modification necessary. It was modeled directly from a 3D scan to ensure a perfect and flush fit with the surrounding console trim. The ball-style mount adapter protrudes 20MM outwards at a 15-degree angle and can be slid into the joint on the insert to face up, down, left, or right depending on the user’s preferences. Installation: Installation of the upper console insert will require removal of the existing flat panel or cupholder insert, which may also require disassembly of the center console trim. Simplified instructions and links to helpful YouTube videos will be included with your order to make this process quicker and easier. Once the existing insert has been removed, you will then need to line up the main “body” of the 3D printed insert with the cutout in the console trim and press it firmly and evenly into place so the tabs on the back are seated properly. No hardware is needed, as the outer walls of the body and the back tabs will keep everything secured. The various attachments can then be slid into and out of the insert by lining up the corresponding edges and pressing them downwards into place. If included, the phone holder can be pressed onto the round end of the ball mount adapter, rotated into the desired position, and secured with the provided nut. Material: This part is 3D-printed using ASA filament. ASA is a strong, heat-resistant (up to 200F), and UV-stable filament that offers superior properties compared to the ABS that comprises most interior plastics. ASA will not bend, break, sag, or melt when subjected to high interior temperatures, and will not degrade or fade when exposed to sunlight. Disclaimer: Due to the nature of 3D-printed parts, some small surface flaws and layer lines will be visible in the final product. I have done my best to optimize the fit and finish of the final printed parts and will conduct a quality and fitment check before shipping – however, please understand that these parts will not be 100% perfect in comparison to those made through injection molding by an OEM.
