MORAVIAN STAR-CANDLE HOLDER-VINTAGE!

Description: A wonderful this Moravian star is made of clear glass triangle panels. Inside a metal candle platform (see photos) which has age wear look to it. Measures approx. 8 1/2" points to points. Sits perfectly steady on a table A section opens up to give access to the candle (see photo) and there is a small metal lever on the opened panel side that that slides into a holder keeping it in place. (see photo) There seems to be an open gap between locked panels (see photo) but how it was made. There are little openings around the glass panels to allow heat from candle escape. The opening section does stay in place anyways-it is only for moving it or keeping people away from the flame. This is an older piece and I would recommend a battery candle to avoid too much heat on the glass. As stated above this has not been cleaned-way too many windows for me! As collectors know, Moravian stars are hard to find especially a vintage one in such good shape.Please make sure to read the condition description area and check photos. All sales are as-is.
