Then comes 95 pages on glossy cream paper of the Appleton publishing history and its landmarks, authors such as Stephen Crane and Edith Wharton among many others. Lithos, portraits, illustrations, and manuscript handwriting are frequent with this history. Top page edges are gilt. The binding is royal blue cloth with gilt lettering at the front & spine. About 9" tall. In good condition and without markings, the book has this wear: Some of the pages in the publisher history are still attached at the edge which is not wear.
