Description: This is a Gmax GM2X helmet about six years old. It is size M which fits people who have fairly large heads, and years of use have squashed down the foam a bit so it's somewhat loose on someone for whom a new Medium helmet fits snugly. The liner isn't removable but I've scrubbed out the inside carefully and let it dry for a few days in the sun, twice, so it's nice and clean. Older Gmax helmets had face shield snaps that weren't positioned correctly for a full-face flat shield. The bottom snaps have been relocated on this helmet so they are in their correct place. It is a nice neat job and you wouldn't notice it unless you looked carefully. The helmet is flat black. It got pretty beat up over the years but I lightly sanded it to clean it up and it looks very good now. You could sand it some more if you want a pristine surface, wet sanding it with 600-grit sandpaper. I replaced this helmet because I got a new bike and Gmax had a nice new helmet that matched my bike. If you need a spare helmet and don't want to pay a lot, this is for you.
