Description: This is the 48 page Mountain Mist booklet published in 1956 by Stearns & Foster Co, the maker of the premier battings of that age. The first pages are descriptions of various aspects of making, and there is so much more - especially showcasing some of the patterns that were available through the company and so is a visual feast. I have shown some random pages from the booklet, and the covers. My mom had punched holes in the booklet to keep it safe in a 3-ring binder. That does not affect the guts of the booklets. There are also a few annotations in my mom's handwriting. Sigh. My mom was both a student of quilt making history and an avid maker of about 400 bed quilts of her own.
