This does weigh 1 pound and have seen it pictured elsewhere as being on a 3 ring single cd revolver type of case. The case is in unbroken SEALED shrink wrap. You can apparently see 3 titled CD's inside the shrink. I've read this is a carousel type 3 ring binder, though cannot be certain since it is sealed.
