Made in the United States by Mohawk Carpets and sold in J C Penney’s in the early 1970’s. Hand tufted wool. It has been cleaned, but not professionally. There’s one light stain and a some shadowing under the mouth. See the photos. Some pictures were taken inside and some outside. Tried to get a good representation of the color, which is not faded. Unable to find this 50 year old rug anywhere online! Appraised at a PBS Roadshow for $200-$300, but you set the price. It will be folded to save on shipping .
