Description: This uncommon vintage real photo postcard features an actress named "Miss Jamieson". In trying to identify her first name, I found a Rotary postcard with a group portrait including Lily Hanbury, Hilda Hanbury, Hilda Jacobsen, and "Miss Jamieson". In reviewing the IBDb, I discovered an actress named Isabel Jamieson. She appeared on Broadway in the play, "The Old Lady Shows Her Medals" (1928). It is very possible that the woman seen in this postcard is Isabel Jamieson although preliminary research yielded no more information than I have provided. Further research is needed to confidently identify and obtain the background of "Miss Jamieson". This postcard was published by Rotary Photo as part of a series (No.1711). Miss Jamieson's photo was taken by the Langfier studio in Glasgow, Scotland. Louis Langfier was a Polish photographer who operated studios in both Glasgow and London during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. His clients included King George V and other royalty. Langfier died in 1925. This postcard is in good condition (see scans), 0 Likes Sha
