ALL USPCC Cards regardless of individual rarity are extremely difficult to find in PROFESSIONALLY GRADED MINT and above versions that originated from the ALTERNATE 4th Edition Core Set release from USPCC (United States Playing Card Company ) … More info below ⬇️ Gorgeous Original Vintage MTG ARTWORK by JESPER MYRFORS 4th Edition ALTERNATE VERSION Card information : These are cards that were made in the USA by the United States Playing Card Company ( USPCC ) for Wizards Of The Coast in 1995 for the 4th edition STARTER SETS ONLY of Magic The Gathering Cards instead of their normal card printer Carta Mundi which is based in Belgium…. These cards look extremely similar to standard 4th edition cards in normal light although the USPCC versions appear more vividly colored. In addition the card stock is a bit different and features a glossier finish which enhances the artwork featured. USPCC cards also tend to have a peculiar wear pattern in that they develop more edge whitening than normal MTG cards. A special coating was applied to these cards by USPCC which protects the colors from fading in sunlight. This makes finding these cards in HIGH GRADE extremely difficult. Under black light you’ll see a darker image than unprotected normal cards and the white borders will appear almost pink/purple when compared against traditionally printed MTG cards. They literally glow in the dark 🎴 Additional ALTERNATE 4Th Edition USPCC Characteristics : The infamous dark blue “ A “ on the reverse-side MAGIC logo. The top part of letter A is completely colored in dark blue with no reduction. Different printing pattern - USPCC ( stochastic ) vs. CARTA MUNDI ( rosette ) with USPCC text in solid black & white. Very few of these cards were actually printed and even fewer actually released …. Because of a legal dispute between WIZARDS OF THE COAST & USPCC these cards were designated to be destroyed and not released so finding them in High Grade has proven to be extremely difficult for MTG Alternate 4th collectors….
