Both are crafted from Mulberry's thick, tactile and very robust Darwin Leather, with lovely brass hardware. Purchased in England and stored in clean, smoke free home, these would make a lovely gift for someone who loves Mulberry. They are beautifully made to last with leather that will only grow more characterful the more it's used. Effie is the perfect "just right" size for an everyday bag, with an open self lined interior that has a perfect amount of space for essentials. A fully adjustable and removable shoulder strap fits nicely over thick winter coats, and can easily be replaced with a longer crossbody strap if preferred. The flap closes with two magnetic closures, so Effie is easy to get in and out of, yet secure, and there are two external side pockets which are perfect for smaller items like keys, which also close magnetically. There are two separate sections: the buckle opens with snap closure to reveal a coin/cash section, and the other section, also with snap closure, has 8 card slots plus two long bill fold compartments to store bills, receipts or more cards, these compartments are lined in creamy canvas. Used at most once or twice, it has only some marks from storage: a few scratches to the leather and pressure marks on the leather where the buckle sits over the snap closure and on the other side, the same. These have left indentation marks and some slight discoloration, please see all photos. Inking, edging hardware all looks great and snaps are tight. I guarantee that this set is authentic Mulberry: see tree logo embossing on center front flap, Mulberry stamped buckles and rivets, interior gold stamped leather Mulberry label, tree coin (no registration number on reverse as is correct for her vintage) and interior black fabric "MADE IN ENGLAND" label.
