Description: This lovely antique heirloom Mun Shou Red Famillie Rose Longevity Jingdezhen Tea Set is a classic piece of Chinese Heritage symbolic of Longevity. The longevity pattern is composed of a floral design showcasing 4 equally spaced circles containing the Chinese characters 萬“Wan"，壽“Shou”，無“WG"，疆"Jiang".The phrase 萬壽無疆 translates to "Boundless Longevity" and is the key component of the classic longevity pattern that originated during the Kangxi Period of the Qing Dynasty (1661-1722). This beautiful and vibrant set produced circa the 1950s would make a unique gift for many occasions like weddings, milestone anniversaries or birthdays! The set contains a tea pot, four tea cups, and a large serving plate which are all in excellent vintage condition with no major chips scratches or signs of wear. It is significant to note that a small area of paint on the top area of the tea pot and plate are chipped off but go largely unnoticed (Please see photos).
