Description: These are very rare, old vintage Nagahiro Chisels from the peak timeframe of this maker. These are from the prime of Nagahiro quality and compare in use, hardness, ability to take and edge and hold it to Kiyotada. Both were peers and part of the Tokyo Blacksmith Guild at the same time. The Guild stamp is the hexagonal mark above the Nagahiro stamp. These are true old vintage, not the newer stock you find unused from his later years and said to be of lesser forging quality than his earlier work - these are the pinnacle. Gumi handles.
