Nambe metal is an alloy made up of a variety of metals. It can be brightly shined with work. It is in very good condition but shows normal wear with some scratches. HistoryNambé was founded as Nambé Mills in 1951 by Pauline Cable in Pojoaque. The company’s foundry was moved to Santa Fe following a fire in 1976. A few years later, it was bought by the Hillenbrand family. The Portmeirion Group purchased Nambé LLC from the Hillenbrand family in 2019.Until about 10 years ago, Nambé's signature aluminum alloy products were manufactured in New Mexico. They are currently made in India.
