Description: Nanking Shipwreck - 'Scholar On Bridge' Bowl red Iron & Gold Decoration #533. Shipwreck Porcelains - The Nanking Cargo, 1752 Bowl China 1752 Damage 1. There is a hairline crack which I found under UV light (see photographs). The last two photographs show the now you see it now you don’t ….it’s there clearly under UV light but it’s barely visible under normal light. 2. The edge of the foot-ring is undamaged but feels rough. 3. The red iron boxing decoration around the rim has faded in parts but is not damaged. 4. There are some tiny flea bites around the rim and minor glaze issues where it hasn’t taken. These are all small and appear in the photographs but you would have to view closely to see them. I have been pedantic in my description of the damage but for its age and considering where it has been it is in good condition.
